Keeping track!
The British Empire and Commonwealth games were held in Perth ,
Western Australia, Australia from November 22 - December 1st, 1962.
World renowned Australian runner Herb Elliot was to report on these
games.
The Newspaper insert actually reads:
"Former Olympic giant Herb Elliot holder of
the world's 1500 metres record and one of the greatest distance
runners amateur athletics has known is to comment on The Empire
Games exclusively for "The Mercury" in Tasmania.'
