Irony.
The Australian Labor Party lead by Kevin Rudd wins the 2007 Federal
Election. The seat of Bennelong, held by Liberal Prime Minister John
Howard for 34 years, falls to Labor contestant and former ABC journalist Maxine McKew - the second time in Australian political history that a sitting Prime Minister has lost his seat in a Federal Election.
Kirribilli House is the Sydney residence of the Prime Minister of Australia, and while the ABC is the Government run broadcaster, it's relationship with the Howard Government would be described as colourful at best.
